Hypnotizing Someone

The role of the hypnotist is merely to serve as a guide or a personal trainer to help you to focus the power of your imagination more effectively.

When you hypnotize someone, your subject deserves a good explanation first about hypnosis to make it easier for you to do the job, here are a few of the things you should cover to make them feel comfortable:

  • Hypnosis is natural state for it happens to you many times each day,
  • A state of trance is just as safe as sleeping,
  • You will remember what happens inside your trance.

Signs of Hypnosis

Following is a quick rundown of some of the signs you are likely to see when someone is under hypnosis:

  • Eyelid are fluttering,
  • Redness or wetness of the eyes is increased,
  • Facial muscles are very relaxed,
  • Subject experiences feelings of warmth or coolness or tingling sensations,
  • Twitching slightly of fingers, arms or legs,

Hypnotizing Someone

The “progressive relaxation” technique is one of the simplest ways to hypnotize someone, here is sample of some of the major step:

  • Talk slowly and in a soothing manner.
  • Tell the subject to “Take a deep breath and close your eyes. Listen to your breathing, inhale, exhale and you will start to feel relaxed.”
  • Use positive reinforcements such as – “That’s right, good, you’re doing just fine.”
  • Repeat if necessary: 10 or 15 minutes is enough.

Prior to learning how to hypnotize someone be forewarned:

  • Don’t ask your hypnotized subject to do anything that might be harmful; like asking him to perform a dangerous feat.
  • Hypnosis is a naturally occurring state so most people feel that it is normal;
  • Fear is the only thing that blocks hypnosis.

By way of suggestion, your subject will be able to change his negative thoughts to more positive ones. This way, he gets rid of whatever problems or situations are bothering him.
