Many home organization tips pertain to clutter. Many people become know as packrats. There are different reasons why people keep things. It may be a gift or an heirloom. Family heirlooms are very special. A generational piece is priceless. By all means, you should feel no guilt by keeping it. However, if you have a pile of things left from a loved one that has passed away, you may need to reevaluate why you are hanging on to them. Charities abound that will accept clothing or other items. Someone may actually be able to use those items you just have sitting in storage. Wouldn’t you late mother like to know her dishes were being used rather than just collecting dust?
Everyone loves receiving gifts. Many gifts end up never being used and stuffed under a bed or in the attic. If you haven’t used something in years, it’s okay to give it away to someone else who may like it. We just can’t use everything we are given. Don’t feel guilty if you don’t have out every knick knack that Aunt Betty gave you!
