How does your day start? Does it begin with a search for something? How long does it take you to get ready to go to work? Do you ever have to search for your glasses, shoes or the right pair of pants? Where is that shirt you were wanting to wear today?

Take just a minute and think how that affects your day? Does it start your day off with a grumble? How much time is wasted in the wild scramble to get out the door? Do the kids have to scurry to find their homework on school days?

How do you decide what to keep and what to get rid of? Do you keep things because a family member, friend, or advertisement tells you to? Outside views don’t always recognize the value, or lack of value, something may have to you.

How do you decide what is important to you? Some of these questions can help you make your own decision.

3. Eat a real breakfast. This is called break-fast for a reason. You are breaking the fast your body has been experiencing while you slept.. You will be surprised what a difference it will make when you try cereal and milk with fruit, or try a simple sandwich of toast and egg with breakfast meat.

  • Trust your instincts. There is nothing wrong with deciding you truly want something if it has value for you and you want to give it space in your life. There is also nothing wrong if you can’t imagine yourself using something that others find valuable. What do you gain by keeping something you don’t want or won’t use? What could you gain by letting it go?
