The term ‘third eye’ has been used to describe many different things. Depending on the context and culture, the ‘third eye’ has many different meanings.
From ancient Buddhism and Hinduism, the third eye is symbolistic of enlightenment. It is referred to as the ‘eye of wisdom’ and is commonly represented by with a dot or eye mark placed on the forehead of enlightened individuals. The third eye is not thought of as a physical entity, but a spiritual center where your intuition comes from. When a person develops their third eye, they are strengthening the connection between meditation and concentration. It is believed that when this bond is strong, one can separate and understand their subconscious from conscious.
In ancient Chinese culture, mainly taoism, the third eye is one of the main chakra center. It is also called the ‘minds eye’. Developing your minds eye is developing your intuition and ability to use subjective senses. The minds eye is the part of your brain that connects the left hemisphere (the logical thinking part of your brain) with the right hemisphere (the creative part).
In Western culture, the third eye refers to the pituitary gland. The pituitary gland is the part of the brain that is responsible for an unconscious actions of the body, such as breathing, heartbeat, and digestion. It is believed that this is where thought meets the nervous system, or where your ‘inner’ and ‘outer’ world meet. In western teachings, the third eye is thought to be sleeping until provoked. One has to develop, train and strengthen this bond between your inner and outer world.
While each of these definitions have a common themes, there are distinct, yet subtle differences between the three. When you hear people talk about the ‘third eye’, it helps to understand from which definition they are speaking about to fully understand the context.
Its also important to note that these are not the only definitions of the third eye, the term has evolved and means alot of different things in many contexts.
The term ‘Mental telepathy‘ is misleadingly broad. It essentially means the direct communication of thoughts between people without using the basic five senses. There is a huge difference, however, between having a creepy feeling that someone is watching you and being able to pick the plans for a nuclear reactor out of an unsuspecting scientist’s mind. Mental telepathy covers a huge range of abilities from very basic to fairly complex. This article will attempt to explain the different levels of mental telepathy.
NON VERBAL COMMUNICATION:
If you are a parent who has tried to tell your kid or spouse something non-verbally by using your body language, eyes and facial expressions, then you would know what Kinesics or non-verbal communication is. In this form of non verbal communication almost everything can be said without speaking by merely using the eyes and expressions and body language. For this kind of communication you need to know the other person well in order to communicate effectively. Its most effective between parents, children, lovers and intimate friends.
This may not count as mental telepathy, as the two people are using their senses to communicate, just not verbally and this is correct. However, mental telepathy plays a role, because their minds are more attuned to each other because of extended exposure to the way the others mind may think and some predictability comes into play, so there is a sort of mental connection. Two people that know each other well enough to understand more subtle body language, or have created nonverbal signals to communicate, might be argued that it is not be classified as mental telepathy.
EMPATHY:
Empathy is the ability to recognize, perceive, or directly experience the emotions of others. Some people are very poor at this, and others are very good at this, being able to mentally ‘put themselves in another’s shoes’ and understand how they must be feeling. Empathy can be increased with training and practice. Actors, for example, are able to imitate the emotions of others, even to the point of being able to make themselves spontaneously laugh or cry.
‘Sympathetic pain’—feeling another person’s pain as if it were your own is something expectant fathers mention, some claiming they can feel the mother’s labor pains at the same time she is experiencing them. If someone close to you is experiencing an overwhelming emotion, you may feel an echo of the same emotion inside you, and mothers often describe this uneasy feeling when their child has been injured. The phenomena of long distance empathy, where a person suddenly feels that someone close to them is in danger, even though they are not near the person at the time is common in other relationships, as well.
Psychologists write off such empathetic phenomena as a simple trick of an overactive imagination. At the very least, they do have a point that other senses are being used. Would we be able to feel the sympathetic pain of a broken arm, for example, if we could not actually see the injury? This does not explain, however, the phenomena of long-distance empathy.
CONCRETE CONCEPTS:
This is the thought transference of concrete symbols and objects between two minds. Mental telepathy at this level must by necessity move beyond the regular five senses, and often requires a designated sender and receiver, intense concentration, training, and practice.
It is easier to communicate through thought alone if it is a simple symbol or object than more complex thoughts. A color may be easier to convey than an animal or a general shape easier to communicate than a person’s name.
Zener cards often used in mental telepathy test are an example of this principle. Simple, concrete black-and-white symbols (a circle, square, star, plus sign, and three wavy lines), gives even a random guess a 20% chance of being right. On the other hand, a shared, known, limited set of concrete symbols may increase the coordination of the thoughts between sender and receiver. A success rate of 50% or higher (which have happened) can not be explained away by simple statistics, but may indicate a level of mental telepathy, instead.
ABSTRACT CONCEPTS:
Mental telepathy at this level goes beyond simple colors and shapes to more abstract concepts like ideas, actions, or values. It is rare and difficult for telepaths to achieve this level, and experiments have shown that they have a lower success rate.
Some animals appear to communicate, and science is not able to explain how. Telepathy shouldn’t be ruled out. At this level, such animals would be using abstract concepts, albeit very basic concepts. Due to the nature of animal brains lacking prefrontal lobes, such ideas would probably not go beyond simplistic impulses like ‘hungry’, ‘thirsty’, ‘horny’, or ‘danger!’
While humans may have once been capable of telepathy, as the species evolved and developed language, it was no longer needed as a form of communication. With the right stimulation humans may be able to call upon this dormant ability that includes abstract communication of ideas. Mental telepathy could be used to communicate, without the need for the use of the five senses.
Other scientists believe however that telepathy and other esp and psychic powers are in fact the ‘future’ for mankind. And if enough people can develop these powers, theoretically all humans in the future could become telepathic.
Every human being can learn telepathy. This ability translates to sensing and transmitting feelings over a distance, without using any of the five physical senses or using words. This kind of mind to mind communication works instantly and can even cross enormous distances.
If you think you can’t learn telepathy, it’s time to reassess things. You may already have had a telepathic experience of some kind, but there’s a good chance you didn’t know that was what was happening. You may not have noticed it at all! One common type is thinking about someone you haven’t thought about or talked to for a long time, then getting a phone call or email from them shortly afterward.
Essentially, a telepathic connection was established that day. Emotions came into play, and your wish to hear about that person or to figure out what they have been up to translated itself into a connection that you “communicated” your wish through.
This telepathic contact sparked them to contact you verbally. Maybe you thought of them first, and they received your feelings and were prompted to contact you. Or, maybe they signaled to you, your thoughts of them were return signals (without you realizing it) and that gave them the go-ahead to make further contact. And it could have been that they were preparing to contact you and you telepathically perceived it before they actually did the action.
Many people believe that they can’t learn telepathy for one reason or another. This might be because they have a religious background that teaches them that this kind of contact is evil or sorcerous. In these cases, they don’t try to learn it, and suppress their existing telepathic experiences. Many people have also been told that telepathy is irrational and superstitious, due to the lack of available scientific evidence.
Now, one barrier to people learning telepathy is that there is another myth surrounding telepathy that many who actually use it believe. This is the idea that spoken language is ‘inferior’ and we only learned it because, for some mysterious reasons, our telepathic abilities decayed over millennia. This is just as untrue as the above-mentioned myths. However, there was a time when words and telepathy went hand in hand -like music and lyrics.
In this analogy, the music is telepathy and the lyrics are spoken language, with each working to enhance the other. Words have the ability to define and clarify telepathic messages, which is why we have them. Unfortunately, dependence on spoken language causes telepathy to be neglected and forgotten.
After hearing all that, there is a good chance that your interest is piqued and you are going to want to see what you can do to learn this amazing talent. You’ll find that it is no where near as difficult as you might be afraid of and that all it takes is a little bit of practice.
First, find yourself a partner. Hopefully, he r she is someone you know very well and who is open minded to the possibility of things like telepathic powers. Look for someone who has the same burning desire to learn that you do, and you’ll find that this can make it much easier for you to get started and it can help along the way.
The next step is to separate from each other. At least make it so that you can’t see each other. Ideally, you should be in a place where you can’t easily hear each other either. Get relaxed. Stretch out a little and start taking deep breaths. Clear your mind of the stress and the worry that might have been bothering you all day. Make sure that you have a way to get a hold of each other, either through a phone or an Internet chat program or a webcam.
You’ll want to have an agreement about who will go first. That person will visualize the other person in their mind as clearly as possible, then think about a connection between you. Common imagery involves a light surrounding both people or a thread of energy connecting them.
The next thing to do is to send a thought through that thread or from one light into the other. This is like a web transmission or phone call. Keep it simple to start with and go with the clearest thought possible. Make it something the other person can’t guess without contact, though!
When you feel (literally) that you’ve completed this telepathic transmission, contact the partner by cellphone, etc, and ask them what if anything they saw in their mind. Once you’ve compared notes, it’s the partner’s turn to telepathically send to you.
Don’t exhaust yourself right out of the gate. Make sure that you keep your first attempts quick and easy so that you don’t get discouraged. This can take some time so remember that practice makes perfect.
If you want to learn telepathy, the most important thing is to keep your mind positive about it, and don’t give up until you start to get results. You’ll be entering into a new and wondrous universe!
Develop Telepathy – Telepathy is a method of communication in which two people exchange thoughts, feelings and emotions directly between their minds. This is a mental capacity which anyone can use with enough practice.
The telepathic ability is one that all humans possess to some degree, but have lost the means by which to control it on a conscious level. We all experience moments of telepathic activity subconsciously from time to time. Develop telepathy – Imagine being able to control that innate ability and use it to communicate.
People tend to be skeptical about telepathy. It’s hard to blame them; since telepathy isn’t taught to us, you don’t see everyone going around using this ability. Regardless, you have used this ability. Think of an instance where you were in a terrific mood and then spoke with a friend who was down in the dumps. Even if you only spoke with them for a short time, you may have found yourself also feeling glum afterwards, sharing the same emotions as your friend.
It’s not the words the person is saying to you – it’s the transference of their emotions and feeling leaking into your own subconscious mind. This is a form of telepathy.
It has been shown in studies that the part of the subconscious mind which controls telepathy can be activated. What you need to do is to focus on the person with whom you want to communicate in this way.
All forms of communication have to be learned; you weren’t born knowing how to speak your native language, it is something you learned by observing and imitating your family.
The only thing this means is that you haven’t yet learned how to tap into this ability.
Let’s look at some ways you might use to awaken your own latent telepathy.
‘Mental-Muscle’ training
Just like you weren’t born knowing how to direct your vocal chords and mouth to speak a particular language, the ‘muscles’ responsible for telepathy need to be trained.
The centers in your brain that control telepathic communication work most strongly on the sub-conscious level, or in the trance-like hypnotic state. This trance state is a level of relaxation all humans are capable of reaching without too much trouble.
Being able to achieve this state will take some practice, but it is a necessary part of training your mind for telepathy.
Focus
Learning to maintain your mind’s focus while you’re in a trance state can be quite difficult to master. During your next deep relaxation session, focus on someone you’d like to contact you.
Visualize them and project positive thoughts. Visualize them receiving your thoughts – remain focused on this until the recipient has had enough time to absorb these thoughts.
Then, break off the focus. You need to break the telepathic link so that they can feel this communication being cut off and start trying to contact you with their mind.
This exercise should be done regularly; it will prepare you to be able to send and receive telepathic communications, which will be helpful as you begin practicing telepathy with a partner.
Partner Practice
Choose one person to be the receiver and one to be the sender. The sender should choose simple items to project. Choose items with clear, bright colors that are easily recognizable.
The receiver should keep a writing utensil and paper close at hand so that they can write down any communications they receive from the sender.
Afterwards, compare notes and take a look at how well you did in the exercise. It will take some time to sharpen your telepathic abilities, so don’t get discouraged. Practice is the only way to develop telepathy, but you will become better at it with time.
Oftentimes the results of these telepathichttp://www.telepathyrevealed.com/telepathic/”>telepathic> experiments are very intriguing. For something like telepathyhttp://www.telepathyrevealed.com/telepathy/”>telepathy> to be considered by the science world to be a scientific fact it has to be possible to measure it, the results must be consistent, and the results must be repeatable. However, when it comes to telepathyhttp://www.telepathyrevealed.com”>telepathy> the results are not always repeatable or consistent. While science then declares telepathy as improvable of unsubstantiated, others point out that perhaps they just haven’t invented the proper tests yet, since we still do not know or understand why some people are telepathic.
Science has not disproven the existence of telepathic people. But is it possible to communicate without using any of our five senses? Just by thought alone? The answer is somewhat of an obvious one. We would have to use a means that we cannot employ our senses to detect but the means exists nonetheless. Science and technology have already done it in the high tech way. Consider radio waves. True, we cannot see them, touch them, taste, hear or smell them, but we all know that they most certainly do exist.
Could it possibly be ‘thought waves’ possibly electrically magnetically generated by the brain which has been scientifically proven to exist and Telepathic studies have been based on. Explaining this in terms for the average person might be a little difficult, but stay with us.
Although it sounds complicated, scientifically speaking, our thoughts are nothing more than neurons being moved between different synapses with our brain. But what has been thoroughly proven is that when these neurons are transferring between the synapses they create a small electrical current which also produces a small magnetic field. And this can be measured. Despite their tiny size it helps to remember that there are literally tens of thousands of synapses firing at any particular time.
So now we are left with a few rather important questions to ponder. For instance, do the electrical and magnetic waves mentioned above also carry content? Surely it does not just produce the brain’s equivalent of useless static? And if these waves do carry content does that play a part in people being able to communicate with each other using only their minds to do so? Of course the next most obvious question would be that considering that, would it be possible to control these brain waves if they have had some kind of training? Perhaps techniques such as controlled thought and meditation can actually be used to mould the waves into a form of meaningful communication.
There is also trouble with the weakness of the brain ‘s electromagnetic field. The common, ubiquitous electromagnetic fields of modern devices like televisions, computers, stereo systems, refrigerators, microwave ovens are all larger than the brain’s; therefore likely interfere with the brains.
With the magnetic or electrical fields there are problems and these fields can easily be drowned out by the technology of everyday items like televisions, microwaves, refrigerators, stereos produce much bigger electrical and magnetic fields. Can there possibly be a way to the magnetic and electrical fields of the human brain? For example during an emotionally heightened state, such as shock, fear, pain, or the feeling of danger. A temporary spike in bio-magnetic and bio-electrical is created by the neural synapses firing in the brain.
And in fact, parapsychologists have documented short instances of telepathic communication in these moments. One of the most well-known examples is when a mother knows that her child is hurt or in jeopardy even though she is miles away and there has been no direct communication made between them. So, is this an example of brainwave boosting? Do blood-ties matter? Is it all just coincidence (mothers always worry about their children anyway, for instance)?
The jury of mainstream science is out on telepathy for now, and the general attitude is one of doubtfulness. However, this is slowly but surely changing, and there are more researchers all the time who become convinced that telepathy is a real ability and that all it takes is the right training for just about anyone to become telepathic.
