I've had several losses in my life and some have been life changing. My first major loss was my mom who had fought cancer for a bunch of years. She certainly was a great woman who cherished God with all her heart. She anticipated going home (to Heaven) and being with her Jesus. What a privilege to walk with her as she did this her last journey of life on this earth.

The next major loss in my life was my dad. Like my mom he loved Jesus and had for 6 years missed my mom terribly. I had the fortune to hold him in my arms his last four hours of life. It was just him and me and I knew he was going home to be with his Lord and Savior and to see my mother. I could essentially grin as he took his last breaths and I even heard the death rattle coming from his lungs.

God had grown me between my mum and my father’s death. I am not sure I might have held my mother and grinned while she returned home.
