			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;ve had several losses in my life and some have been life changing.  My first major loss was my mom who had fought  cancer for a bunch of years.  She certainly was a great woman who cherished God with all her heart.  She anticipated going home (to Heaven) and being with her Jesus.  What a privilege to walk with her as she did this her last journey of life on this earth.</p>
<p>The next major loss in my life was my dad.  Like my mom he loved Jesus and had for 6 years missed my mom terribly.  I had the fortune to hold him in my arms his last four hours of life.  It was just him and me and I knew he was going home to be with his Lord and Savior and to see my mother.  I could essentially grin as he took his last breaths and I even heard the death rattle coming from his lungs.</p>
<p>God had grown me between my mum and my father&#8217;s death.  I am not sure I might have held my mother and grinned while she returned home.  Some of her last comments to me were her great anticipation of Heaven.  During the final days I might read her the Bible, never quite to her satisfaction, but she enjoyed my bumbling around with some of the words.</p>
<p>I had grieved my mom&#8217;s arriving death for years and when she went home I was happy for her but sad for my father.  My attention immediately turned to my pa yet it was not possible for me to know of the depth of his grief.  God would show me this some years after when my own better half would die at an early age.  You see god was preparing me for my journey.  He was growing me to learn to rely on Him and Him alone. </p>

Stress often decreases both the quality and length of our lives. <p>Acute Stress</p>
<p>Acute stress is what frequently springs to mind when we think of stress.  It&#8217;s the most recognized kind of stress.  It is short term and comes from recent events or things we understand are coming in the future.  Maybe somebody cut you off while driving and you are irritated and feel stressed by that event.  Perhaps your youngster received a bad grade and you are irritated at them.  Presumably things did not go well at work today and you worry about what is coming next.  These are momentary events that encourage stress in our lives.

<p>Episodic Acute Stress</p>
<p>Episodic acute stress is when you have a continual impact of stress in your life thanks to a disposition or way of handling events.  Examples of this are the Type A personality or the individual that is always rushed, in a rush, and never on time.  It may be the person that looks to be in sustained turmoil with things never going right.  Or, maybe it is the person who constantly troubles and knows the world is coming-to-an-end.  It looks that stress is constantly present in their lives.

<p>Persistent Stress</p>
<p>This is the never ending stress that simply hammers away at you emotionally and physically.  It looks to never end, day in and day out as the Problems of your life persist.  There is never respite from the continuing load on you psychologically and your body begins to show the indicators of prolonged stress.  You simply don&#39;t see a way forward due to the circumstances you are facing.  Maybe you have got a recurring lack of money and can&#39;t afford health insurance, car repairs, or perhaps basic essentials such as food.  Maybe you have chronic stress due to unemployment, or to an incapacity to provide for your folks.  Doubtless it is due to a failing wedding or other failing family relationships.  Grief or the chronic illness of a loved one can also cause lingering stress.</p>
<p>There are other categories of stress except for most of us the classes are irrelevant.  All we really desire is a way out from the emotional and physical burdens of stress.</p>

Even the best conditions can be made worse by too much stress, which may increase muscular tension, leading to pain, and many health problems. It&#8217;s extremely difficult to enjoy your life if you live in a state of chronic stress.</p>
<p> On the physical level you have to keep yourself healthy, which is an important factor for happiness. Look into healthier nutrition and a greener lifestyle so that you are not exposed to the toxic chemicals in beauty products, household cleaners, pesticides, etc. They may advertise to the contrary, but the truth is that chemicals of this nature can cause all kinds of damage,  including nerve damage, and depression. Go for natural ways to handle this.</p>
<p> You can counter emotional stress by not dwelling on things that made you mad in the past or worrying about what might come. Don&#8217;t think about anything negative in the past.
