I explained, trees give us wood and we use that to make furniture.
After a few days when we visited a furniture shop, he saw a wrought iron chair and asked innocently:

Several of us have always recognized we had been wired differently, and we were not destined to follow a classic career or life path.
You might have been labeled a ‘Jack (or Jill) of all Trades, Master of None’ (ouch); or ‘Creative’ (artists are all eccentric, do not you know?). You may have been diagnosed with ADD (attention deficit disorder) or AD/HD (with hyperactivity thrown in) and as a result saddled with the stigma of a ‘disorder’. Or you could have been repeatedly told you are ‘too sensitive’… or a ‘daydreamer’… or ‘not functioning up to your potential’… or ‘easily distracted’… or… eh, you get it. So, mostly these labels don’t really feel too good, do they? They make us experience like we usually do not quite measure up.
There’s a single stereotype which is nothing but that, as there are no documented statistics or scientific perform to prove it: girls believe they might make males change. I say this is a stereotype because it applies to other way around as well, guys believe that they can make girls change. The areas where we want the other man or women may well differ, but the fact is if we thought we had an excellent shot, we would make an effort to make other persons in general adjust certain points that we are passionate about.
In my coaching practice, the majority of clients I attract are ‘creative’ kinds who take pleasure in or desire self-employment at one particular level or another. As I learned much more about what I term ‘creative multipreneurs’ and defined in this way of being on my site and in my newsletter, I would receive great emails and phone calls from persons telling me how much they identified with what I described.
Sticking to adore relationships, you need to wonder why persons do this. Should you fell in adore with that specific person, how was that achievable when there was anything that was this type of deal breaker? Otherwise, if it is not really that important a subject, why bother hoping for making another human being change?
And sometimes, virtually as an afterthought, they would share that they had been diagnosed as ADD or AD/HD. In order to greater realize my clients, and maybe even myself, I started out reading every thing I could get my hands on about ADD in adults.
I have heard several reasons. One is that they’re looking to transform a poor habit. Habits are tricky to break. If you were peeing and leaving the seat up for over 20 years, chances are you are not going to change since somebody else thinks this is a bad habit. Granted, some habits are harder than others to change but the question we have got to ask ourselves is this: is this worth ruining my relationship for? If the answer is yes, possibly you should not even attempt to modify the person.
One author in particular, Lynn Weiss, Ph.D., Attention Deficit Disorder in Adults: A Different Way of Thinking, has by no means believed that by doing this of currently being can be a disorder. She believes that ADD is really a brain-style diversity issue and that no 1 brain-style is superior or a lot more typical than another.
I should recommend you learn more articles about How To Change Power Steering Fluid and also Power Steering Fluid Change.

Happiness is one of the most commonly used words. We all say – the children look so happy. I am very happy today. You don’t look very happy. Any reason? How to make a happy world? How to avoid sad feelings and feel happy? Which pill can help us? The discussion about happiness is really endless. Does science give a common definition of happiness? General answers are available that say that happiness is a state when one feels good, elated , contented, good etc. Is happiness a life long gift or an emotion experienced for a short time. If I win a lottery, I become happy. As I spend all the money, I become unhappy again. When you call me a good person, I feel happy and when you curse me, I feel very unhappy. If I look at the dead body of my old friend, I feel unhappy and when I look at laughing faces of children I feel happy. We have no control. Outside forces and events control our emotions. We are all toys. That has no free will. This is difficult to believe but true.
Let us find out what is not happiness. Low self esteem, feelings of despondency, sadness, guilt, helplessness, frustration, low interest, uncertainty, and all such negative emotions are not happy emotions. They rather make us unhappy. Now let us talk of what is happiness? Feeling good, cheerful outlook, positive thoughts, winning attitudes, satisfied living, enjoyment, and all such emotions that make us feel good are happy feelings Is happiness same for all of us? If I give a certain amount to few people, some may become very happy and some may become angry and some will not care either way. Am I making myself clear? So happiness is not something that we feel in equal measure. I may be very happy when I watch the star lit night, but you may enjoy only the bright sunshine. So each one of us has his/her own happiness.

Several folks believe {that the} goal of any society is progress, but for many of us it is not easy to urge used to something new. It takes more or less time for each person to adapt to new atmosphere, even if it is only employing a new tool, cooking a new dish or finding a new bus stop. That’s the reason why several people cling to the means things are and it is abundant easier for them to do habitual things.
Any person’s each day of life consists of many repeated activities, such as driving automobile, dressing, eating. Individuals do most of those activities automatically, without a lot of thinking. Automatic operations facilitate brains to avoid unnecessary efforts, however several folks additionally use this natural capability of brain in an exceedingly wrong way.
They create “cliché” for many activities in their life, use same expressions, eat same food, and head to same supermarkets. Folks live with same world outlook whole their life. It’s clear that in most cases laziness makes them live with “cliché” as a result of it is much easier for individuals to make habitual things, say habitual phrases and do the same job everyday, then straining the brain, making one thing new, and creating progress in their life.
However, there are still many activities, which demand creativity, ability to orientate us in new, uncommon situations. Life brings us surprises each day, and typically it’s impossible to be ready for all circumstances. Economical and political state of affairs of any country in the globe transforms each month or year and leads to changes in several life aspects. Nowadays people would like to be inventive to get ahead, as a result of it’s not possible to search out favorable work or life conditions, while not any changes and surprising circumstances.
There are not too several people, which suppose and act creatively. Most of these people are successful businessmen, artists or politicians, as a result of they will effectively use the natural capability of brain to think creatively. Artistic and imaginative folks do not achieve success for themselves only; they conjointly contribute to progress of the society. That’s why it is necessary to train yourself to be artistic and get rid of the many “cliché” opinions in your mind.
Initial step to think creatively is to comprehend that activities are indeed in need of “cliché” (such every day easy operations as driving automotive) and that activities demand creativity (like work, business, education, upbringing of youngsters).
Second, do your daily activities like work or family creatively, enrich your information concerning your business, and find new ways to boost it, do not be afraid to administer work to your brain, as a result of in lifestyle most people use solely four-5% of their brain ability to think.
Last, but not least is to bear in mind that if you are creative and imaginative person you would not be disarmed by surprising or uncommon life circumstances and changes because you’ll be able to perpetually realize a way to regulate and get ahead in your life.

There is an usually missed distinction between Being the First, Being Original, and Being Innovative.
To work out that someone (or something) has been the primary, we tend to want to apply a temporal test. It should answer a minimum of 3 questions: what specifically was done, when exactly was it done and was this ever done before.
To see whether or not somebody (or something) is original – a test of substance must be applied. It should answer at least the following questions: what exactly was done, when precisely was it done and was this ever done before.
To see if someone (or something) is innovative – a practical check has to be applied. It should answer a minimum of the following queries: what specifically was done, in that approach was it done and was precisely this ever done before in precisely the identical way.
Reviewing the tests on top of leads us to 2 conclusions:
1.. Being first and being original are more closely linked than being 1st and being innovative or than being original and being innovative. The tests applied to determine “firstness” and originality are the same.
2.. Though the tests are the same, the stress is not. To see whether someone or something is a initial, we have a tendency to primarily raise “when” – while to determine originality we tend to primarily ask “what”.
Innovation helps within the conservation of resources and, thus, in the delicate act of human survival. Being initial demonstrates feasibility (“it’s doable”). By being original, what is needed or can be done is expounded upon. And by being innovative, the practical facet is revealed: how should or not it’s done.
Society rewards these pathfinders with standing and lavishes other tangible and intangible benefits upon them – mainly upon the Originators and the Innovators. The Firsts are often ignored as a result of they do in a roundabout way open a replacement path – they merely demonstrate that such a path is there. The Originators and therefore the Innovators are the ones who discover, expose, invent, put along, or verbalize something during a approach which permits others to repeat the feat (very to reconstruct the process) with a lesser investment of effort and resources.
It is possible to be First and not be Original. This can be because Being Initial is context dependent. As an example: had I traveled to a tribe in the Amazon forests and quoted a speech of Kennedy to them – I’d hardly have been original however I would undoubtedly are the first to possess done so in that context (of that particular tribe at that exact time). Popularizers of contemporary science and religious missionaries are all initial at doing their factor – but they are not original. It is their audience which determines their First-ness – and history which proves their (lack of) originality.
Several people reinvent the wheel. It is humanly impossible to concentrate on all that was written and done by others before us. Unaware of the fact that we are not the first, neither original or innovative – we tend to file patent applications, build “discoveries” in science, exploit (not so) “new” themes within the arts.
Society might judge us differently than we have a tendency to understand ourselves to be – less original and innovative. Hence, perhaps, is that the syndrome of the “misunderstood genius”. Admittedly, things are easier for those folks who use words as their raw material: there are such a lot of permutations, {that the} probability of not being first or innovative with words is minuscule. Hence the copyright laws.
Nonetheless, since originality is measured by the substance of the created (plan) content, the probabilities of being original with 1st are slim. At most, we tend to finish up restating or re-phrasing recent ideas. The case is worse (and also the tests a lot of rigorous) when it involves non-verbal fields of human endeavor, as any applicant for a patent will attest.
However then surely this is too severe! Do not we have a tendency to all stand on the shoulders of giants? Can one be original, first, even innovative without assimilating the expertise of past generations? Can innovation occur in vacuum, discontinuously and disruptively? Is not intellectual continuity a requirement?
True, a scientist innovates, explores, and discovers on the basis of (a limited and somewhat random) choice of previous explorations and research. He even uses equipment – to measure and perform other functions – that was invented by his predecessors. But progress and advance are conceivable while not access to the treasure troves of the past. True again, the very concept of progress entails comparison with the past. However language, during this case, defies reality. Some innovation comes “unintentionally” with no “predecessors”.
Scientific revolutions are not sleek evolutionary processes (even biological evolution is no longer thought-about a smooth affair). They are part transitions, paradigmatic changes, jumps, fits and starts instead of orderly unfolding syllogisms (Kuhn: “The Structure of Scientific Revolutions”).
There is very very little continuity in quantum mechanics (or maybe in the Relativity Theories). There is even less in modern genetics and immunology. The notion of laboriously using building blocks to construct an ebony tower of science is not supported by the history of human knowledge. And what about the primary creature who had a thought or invented a tool – on what did he base himself and whose work did he continue?
Innovation is the daddy of new context. Original thoughts form the human community and the firsts among us dictate the principles of the game. There is terribly little continuity within the discontinuous processes known as invention and revolution. However our reactions to new things and adaptation to the new world in their wake primarily remain the same. It is there that continuity is to be found.

Yes, brainstorming can turn a paper clip into a house. More on that in a moment. First, a question. Have you ever had a brainstorming session where people sat around hesitating to contribute? If so, you can understand how important having the right frame of mind is. Members of the group need to feel free to throw their ideas out there no matter how crazy they are. They need to be open to new ideas and thinking creatively. The following little warm up exercise will help with both of these.
A Warm Up Brainstorming Exercise
Before you start your session, and start addressing the serious problems and projects, do a brainstorming practice exercise. I and my wife recently participated in this brainstorming exercise at a financial seminar. A paper clip was the object used in that case, but any common object will work.
First divide the participants into groups of two-to-five people. Then choose an object and have everyone write down as many ways as they can think of to use it. A prize for the group that comes up with the most uses will add some competitive incentive. However, don’t specify that the ideas have to be good or in any way judged – the prize should go strictly for quantity.
This is important, because this exercise is supposed to get everyone into a creative and open state of mind. Any and all ideas should be thrown out there without fear. In any brainstorming, the judging of ideas should always come at a later stage and – in the case of this exercise – never. Encourage everyone to be thinking crazy and even funny thoughts. Humor helps.
Have a time limit for this – perhaps ten minutes or less. The idea is to purposefully rush this exercise a bit in order to get everyone thinking fast and speaking before they have time to analyze their ideas. The speed helps get people out of the habit of self-censorship.
The ideas our group came up with at the seminar included using a paper clip to pick locks, to clean out ears, as a fishhook and a picture hanger. In five minutes, we had just twenty ideas. The winning group? They had written down over thirty-five uses for a paper clip.
When the exercise is over, there should be some excitement in the air, and there really ought to be some laughter too. A paper clip for a weapon? Now you’re ready to start the brainstorming session, and start attacking the important problems and projects – and in the right frame of mind.
Let the group know how crazy ideas can sometimes lead to really valuable insights and plans, by telling them the following true story:
Canadian Kyle MacDonald turned a paper clip into a house. It started when he traded his large red paper clip with someone online for a fish-shaped pen. Then he traded the pen for a hand-made ceramic doorknob. he continued “trading up” until thirteen trades and a year later, he made his final trade and moved into a new house with no mortgage. Powerful brainstorming.
Spiritual sages have told short stories for centuries to enlighten and inspire others. Counting the stories and parables that Jesus and the Buddhas have told might take a lifetime, and it would probably take several lifetimes to fully integrate the wisdom from those stories into ourselves.
You’ve probably read a spiritual story that was both entertaining and insightful. Maybe it was the classic Christian story, “Footsteps” or perhaps Aesop’s fable “The Tortoise and the Hare.” When we discover stories that connect with us deeply, we remember them and their lessons our entire lives.
One of the most important reasons that people love short stories is that they are excellent ways to communicate very powerful ideas in such a short and entertaining form. Plato understood this in 388 BC when he asked the City Fathers to ban storytellers, and today’s spiritual leaders like Dan Millman, Eckhart Tolle, and Paulo Coelho, also understand this power and continue the storytelling tradition.
Stories are powerful because they mirror the way we naturally think. We think in narrative structures – whether it’s talking about our day, connecting with a friend, or reflecting on our experiences – and because of this, stories imprint themselves into our brains naturally.Â
Stories are how we understand best, so when you write down your stories you directly access the deepest parts of your psyche and soul. You can reach inside and pull out the subconscious imprints that are most valuable to your spiritual growth, and then put them on paper for your conscious mind to see and work with. Similar to Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), this process of bringing your subconscious into the conscious can result in rapid and significant personal transformation.
Unfortunately, most people never try writing stories because they don’t think they’re good enough. It’s a classic paradox because without trying they’ll never feel good enough.  Having fears about writing is normal for most authors, and it is rare to come across a writer without them. My own fears were only overcome by actually writing… by “being” a writer.
The thing about writing is, none of us are writers until we are writing. “Who” and “what” we are changes from moment to moment. We may identify with what we do in life; for example we may call ourselves computer engineers, energy healers, writers, or the many other labels we give ourselves based on what we do.
But we can only associate with that label while we are doing the associated action!
Think about that for a moment. While driving a car, are you a writer? No. You’re a driver. Understanding this distinction is imperative to overcoming a new writer’s most basic concern: “I’m not a writer! I’ve never even written a story!”
And you’re right.
Until you’re writing, you’re not a writer. So the first piece of advice I offer is to ignore the fear and just start writing. Why?Â
Because every single fear you might have about writing is based on your belief that somebody will judge you.
Read that sentence again. Maybe read it several times. Afterwards, challenge yourself to find a single fear you have about writing that does not eventually bring you back to the fear of being judged by others.
It’s important to note that a simple shift in perspective eliminates that fear instantly. You see, not all stories are meant to be read. Sometimes writing a story is like a journal and we might write it as our own internal monologue to help us work through issues we’re having or to explore topics we’re curious about.Â
“Write for the pleasure of writing. As the pen traces out words on the paper, your anguish disappears and your happiness remains. For this to happen, it is necessary to have the courage to look deep inside yourself.” – Paulo Coelho
As long as you write first and foremost for yourself, every single fear disappears instantly.  Understanding the more personal elements of writing enables us to get past fears we might have about being a “good” or “bad” writer. Only after the story is written does the question arise, “Do I want to share this?” Â
Writing stories is an expression of our holistic self connecting both with our self and sometimes others. It allows those of us who have never considered ourselves to be “story writers” to find great enjoyment and meaning in writing our own stories.
When you put pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard), the worst case is that you throw out the story as most authors do hundreds or thousands of times. The best case is that you write a famous story that impacts the lives of millions of people! Realistically, however, you will usually write a story that falls between between those extremes. You’ll most often end up with a story that impacts yourself and the lives of those people close to you.Â
Writing stories is the ultimate win-win situation because you have nothing to lose and more to gain than you can possibly imagine.
The two creativity tips that follow suggest two of the dozens of basic questions you can ask to increase the creativeness of your thinking. Ask these as you work on something, and you can see more creative results today.
1. A Question Of Purpose
Asking certain questions can lead to more creative ideas. These questions don’t include “How is everyone else doing this?” or “What is the usual approach to this problem?” Here is a better one: “What is the important goal here, and how could that be accomplished differently?”
The idea is to look past the form to the function, and find new ways to achieve that. For example, when you consider your job, the most creative approach is not to ask where you can find a better one, but to ask why you have one, and what alternatives there are. Is the purpose to make money, pay the bills, or work up to a better job?
Consider how you might accomplish each of these in other ways. Can you make a business of what you do? Can you write a book about the characters you work with? Can you get someone else to pay the bills (manage an apartment complex in exchange for rent and utilities?)? Can you design the position you want and then convince an employer that they need to create it just for you?
2. The Basic “What If” Question
This is a fun way to have more creative ideas. Just start asking crazy “what if” questions, and then find a way to make them not so crazy. Eventually you’ll refine a few of your ideas into something useful.
For example, if you run a college and want to develop more creative ways to educate people and increase enrollment, you could start by asking, “What if we made a drive-though window for students, instead of another classroom?” That seems crazy enough, so you start looking for ways to make sense of it – to create something useful from it.
The first thing that pops into your head is a drive through window for the bookstore – that seems like something which might work. Taking classes at such a window just seems too crazy, though, until you consider the window as just the place the student gets his or her assignments. What kind of assignments? That’s when you have your “breakthrough idea.”
The name “audio college” enters your mind, and you imagine classes on CDs. People spend so many hours in there cars, so why not use that time? A student could listen to class lectures while traveling or just driving to work or to the store. This isn’t appropriate for all classes, and on-site testing might be necessary, but perhaps as much as a third of the students credits could be accomplished in this form, and at a lower cost. Enrollment might go up with a system like this.
The key is to ask any “what if” question that comes to mind and play with it for a few minutes without criticizing any ideas that come to mind. Critical analysis should be done after this “brainstorming” session, so you don’t discourage your creativity. Many bad ideas will lead to good ones if they are allowed to develop and change.
The two creativity tips here cover just a couple of many dozens of creative thinking techniques, but they are powerful enough to get you thinking in new ways. Why not try them out today?
