Chants or chanting has been used by many yoga practitioners hundreds of years now. People use these chants if they want to connect themselves with the universe and the divine spirit. It gives more calmness and inner peace as a sort of leveling-up with the vibration to people who are using yoga chants.

In yoga, the use of chants is called yoga mantras. Yoga chants has been proven by medical experts that it gives our body many good benefits. Some proven benefits of chants are: develop our metabolic process, create beneficial endorphins in the body, lowers blood pressure and maintains a good heart rate. Chants also give our body and mind the relaxation that we need. It also gives countless benefits to our emotions.

Yoga chants can be used at the beginning of your yoga routine or the start of your meditation session. It helps the yoga practitioners to set their spiritual mood and lower their stress if they use the opening yoga chant. However, you can also do the yoga chants any time of the day. It will be up to you how you perform your chanting. You can chant out-load, do it softly to yourself or you can also listen on yoga chants in the form of a CD player or mp3 player. While listening to yoga chants, it will help energize you and soothe your spirit as you go about your day.

Yoga practitioners usually end their yoga class or meditation session with a closing chant. Yoga chant is the connection of all the benefits starting with the yoga mat, breathing exercise and meditation to the rest of the life of the yogis.

Yoga chants are made and utilized by the old Sanskrit tribes. That is the reason why chants are still being utilized until now the Sanskrit way. Sanskrit is the poetry of our heart and their meaning is universal.

In performing yoga routines while listening to chants give us the sense of calmness to our body and mind. It opens our heart to develop our fondness in doing yoga. Yoga chants or chanting motivate and revitalize our mind, body and spirit. Yoga chants serves as a reminder to our inner-self the connection with our fellow associates and with the divine-self.
