1. Yama – religious disciplines that explains surviving in our world with peace and integrity with others.
2. Asana (“to be”) – this branch was made to maintain a healthy mind and body.
3. Niyama – this discipline is about focusing on living a healthy life.
4. Pratyahara – is defined as “withdrawal of the senses”
5. Dhyana – or meditation. This is done simply by sitting, no nothing, motionless, no focus.
6. Samadhi – there is the connection of our individual soul to the universal soul. It’s the complete individual’s independence.
7. Pranayama – this involves extreme complete breathing. We will learn the different techniques in breathing that will help us increase our oxygen intake to toughen our lungs.
8. Dharana – it involves the full complete focus. Clearing our minds and having inner peace is what it teaches us.
