What is EFT?
Tapping is a blending of modern Psychology and the ancient art of acupuncture.

EFT is does meridian tapping while acupuncture uses needles.

The way it’s done is simple.
Bring up an upsetting emotion or a disturbing thought.  You tap on the energy meridian points located on the head and torso while you are in the disturbing state.  Your fingertips are used for tapping.

How Does EFT Tapping Work?
Let’s discuss acupuncture first.

Illnesses and pain are caused by an abnormal and unbalanced state of energy flow, according the theory of Chinese medicine.

In acupuncture, the needles are inserted into energy points or qi meridians of the body. In this way, the energy channels are stimulated, allowing the natural state of health to return.

It is similar to the way meridian tapping works.  The founding belief of EFT is that disturbing emotions are a disruption of the body’s energies.  Tapping on those energy points when you’re upset enables the meridian energy to resolve and balance.
