Anger is an emotion, thus you will not be able to avoid feeling it. One striking characteristic of anger is its ability to replace rational thought. While extreme fear can make you act in such a way that you hurt yourself, extreme anger can make you act in such a way that you hurt others – even those you would never harm. Since it is an emotion, anger is normal. If you do not feel anger, you are either in denial or there is something psychologically wrong with you. Ironically, you have anger issues if you are in denial. The first step towards getting your anger under control is acknowledging the fact that you have a problem. Anger control techniques will not work if you do not believe you have an anger issue.

Anger control techniques are not designed to keep you from feeling anger nor are they designed so you don’t display your anger. The bad thing about anger is it is a healthy response. Holding yourself back from expressing anger will only bottle it in. Eventually your last straw will be drawn. Even if that “last straw” was over something so small, you’ll react to it and all the feelings you’ve held in for so long will start to come out. Worse, you’ll even do something that you will surely regret. Controlling your anger isn’t about keeping it in. It’s about channelling it into something productive. Here’s two ways you can channel your anger to.

Writing: Paintings are visual depictions of something so beautiful or something so ugly. Poems are literary descriptions of emotions - attaching what you feel to metaphors and whatnot. Whatever form it will take, writing can make you feel better. In fact, writing down your feelings is a part of cognitive therapy. Psychotherapists would normally let you jot down what you are angry about. If you choose to do this yourself, then you can write poems or simply describe how angry you are. You’ll feel better after writing about it.

Singing: Contrary to popular belief, rock music doesn’t promote hate. Yes, lyrics are usually filled with angst, but it is the songwriter’s way of pouring out what they feel. Listening to an angry song and singing along to it makes you feel that you are being listened to – making music your creative outlet. I say creative since you might develop your singing voice. It doesn’t have to be rock music, mind you, but those who listen to rock can literally scream their anger away.

These are just two creative outlets that you can channel all your angry energies to. After your anger has jumped from you to a piece of paper or to the mouthpiece of the microphone, you will better. Remember, anger control techniques aren’t designed to keep you from feeling angry. Put it into something productive. You might even discover a hidden talent.

For whatever reason I would seemingly become confrontational and aggressive over the simplest of things. I would often struggle to comprehend why a person could be so nasty to me and would, I suppose, want to punish them in my own way. I wanted to teach them a lesson which would help them to mend their ways. I have never been one for words; this was mainly due to the fact that I had a stutter up until the age of twenty-two – my way was the violent way.

Now before I continue I would like to make it clear that I do not work within the “anger management industry”; I personally am involved with various projects to do with offering Vodafone Voucher Codes; offering people advice regarding jobs in foster care and I also sell cheap holidays.

I will give you an example of a situation where a person basically cheated me out of a large sum of money. I was looking at turning my front garden into a driveway and I had a number of people around to the house, all of which gave me a quote for the work.

I decided to accept a quote from John who seemed a very nice and trustworthy man. Him and his team spent a couple of days laying the drive during which I was keeping them well supplied with foods and drinks, we all got on very well.

He advised me not to park my car on the new drive for a few days to let it settle and become hardened. I waited a week and then drove my car onto the new driveway. To my horror the driveway dipped and I later found out from a friend that they had not put any hardcore (I think that is what it is called) down.

I tried to contact John but he did not answer his phone, I went round to see him and he would not answer his door. I became more and more angry and started to plan my revenge.

Walking away

I had many options through the courts which I could and did pursue. John was fully prepared to accept responsibilty however he did not have the funds to pay back the cash.

I have now decided to let nature take its course and to walk away. This is not just from the situation above but from any similar event.

When me wife annoys me, I will just walk away to compose myself. I was once told to count to ten which is certainly a good idea. Being angry, like the way I always used to be, is not good for my health and causes me to become stressed, to become depressed and to lose sleep.

It may well seem strange to the readers of this article however people for me are now like apples in a bucket. Three out of these ten apples will be “bad apples”. Instead of feeling angry at the rotten apples, I feel sorry for them.

I firmly believe in God and have now decided that I do not need to seek any form of revenge as he will be judge and jury on judgement day. At this stage these people will have nowhere to hide.

Living life this way is far easier for me and I only wish I had had this approach and form of anger management technique, years ago.

Someone once said that the statistics of depression are miserable, and in fact, the statistics showing how many American people are depressed are staggering. For example, the National Institute of Mental Health, called the NIMH, said that depression affects about 17 million adults every year in America.

Unfortunately, this is much more than cancer, coronary heart disease and, even more than AIDS! Moreover, they indicate that in their estimates, 15 percent of cases of chronic depression may end in suicide. Women are said to be twice as possible as men to be chronically depressed. And 90% of suicides had a diagnosis of mental illness and it’s generally a depressive disorder.

Other depression statistics point out that approximately 80-90% of all cases can be effectively and successfully treated. This information is borne by the American Psychiatric Association (APA).

The National Depressive and Manic Depressive Association has stated that an estimated $ 43 billion per year are lost because of depression. This is mainly attributed to medical expenses, lost productivity and certainly absenteeism from the work force. Furthermore, 80-90% of people with serious mental illness are jobless.

You may want to know what is depression. There are three different types of depression, bipolar or manic depression, major depression and finally dysthymia. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has stated that major depression may affect as many as 15% of Americans at some point during their lives.

Major depression is said to come in episodes, whereas dysthymia does not come in episodes at all, but rather is persistent through many years. According to the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill, Depression Statistics point to almost 10 million Americans that may have dysthymia each year.

Manic-depression or Bipolar is much less common, as it’s reported in the statistics of depression that only about 6 million or 3% of American people are affected by this type of depression in a given year.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has reported that having a serious medical disease may cause depression as well. For example, persons who have had a heart attack, they’ll have 40% chance of feeling depressed.

Truly frightening on the topic of Depression Statistics are the great depression facts that nearly 80% of those who are now experiencing depression symptoms aren’t getting treatment. And 4% of adolescents may develop severe depression and really unfortunate is the truth that suicide is the 3rd leading cause of death for people aged 10 to 24 years. It’s also expected that depression is going to be the world’s 2nd most universal health problem by the year 2020.

I find short tempered people to be really unique indeed. This is for the simple reason that they think raising their voices is the best way to make your presence felt. Being a quiet person myself I realised early on that silence is the best form of attack, but it took some time. Being at the mercy of a short tempered person can be stressful and without a remedy life can be miserable.

When you want to learn to deal with a short tempered person you must start by not fighting back in rage yourself. Short temper has one enemy, a person who argues with it. Never make the mistake of arguing with a person who is angry because this will worsen their temper.

Eventually we would put an effort to try and see the situation through his eyes and find ways of solving the root cause of conflict. But never argue or try to raise your voice at a short tempered person because such a person will go further and even harm you physically. I would compare it to reading an ebook readers instruction manual as the best way to understand the Internet – it isn’t easy, but it is possible.

This might appear unusual but whenever you deal with a sort tempered person you can try to be silent. Silent treatment is a bit unfair but sometimes it solves the problem of anger and temper. It is the safest way because you are guaranteed that you won’t say the wrong thing that will further fuel the person’s temper. With time a short tempered person will learn not to raise their voice because they would have learnt that it bears no fruit like owning home office storage space without a lock on the door.

Sometimes short tempered people are actually justified for their reaction. So when this happens and you realise that you are wrong you must try to admit guilt and show that you have learnt from your mistake. Showing signs of change will indicate to the aggressor that you are reformed and ready to do things properly.

By telling a person that you admit guilt but you’re unhappy about their temper is the best way to ensure that such a person really tries to transform their attitude. It doesn’t help to find a short term solution when the problem persists. Telling the person that you don’t like their temper is a good way to make sure that they learn to control their temper.

Show a short tempered person how important you are to their life and they will change. When a person has continuous fits of temper it is primarily because they don’t think you can do anything drastic to stop them. But if you tell them to change, or else, then they will do exactly that. I ran away from home when my fathers temper was out of control like distorted alpine skiing equipment.

Are you a person that struggles to control their anger? Are you looking for potential ways to control your anger? If you have answered yes to one or both of these questions then this article could well prove to be of benefit.

At this stage I am going to make it clear that I am by no way a specialist in this field. I actually offer various forms of stuttering therapies, I also have an interest in offering web promotion tips and cheap calls.

So you have anger management issues and are in need of help. The time has arrived when you need to change; things are not good; in fact there is a danger that your life could spiral out of control. The time has come to re-take control of your life, you are determined to learn from the mistakes of the past. This is the beginning of your new life; a life free from aggression and bitterness.

However bad things may have become there is a future to think about. It may at this stage seem as if this future may not be that bright however things change, that is if you are willing to change.

The first question therefore has to be: Are you willing to change? Other questions quickly follow on:

Are you willing to learn from your past mistakes?
Are you happy to attend some type of counselling or anger management course?
Do you have the determination to kill your inner voices that are making you behave in this way?
Will you put in the required effort to make the necessary changes work?

I am hoping of course, more for your sake than mine that you have answered yes to all of these questions, as are the people closest to you such as your immediate family and friends.

Now is the time to start being honest with yourself. What has been the main cause of your anger issues? Are you under too much stress at work and in your home life? Do you drink too much alcohol?

It is prudent that at times like this that we seek the help of anger management experts. Reach out to these people as they can be of help to you.

Take time for yourself, treat yourself, possibly a massage, possibly reflexology, possibly a weekend away – anything that can help you to unwind. The body needs a treat from time to time and by that I do not mean alcohol which is well known to be the biggest cause of anger related issues.

Give it your best shot – I am sure that if you believe in yourself you will succeed.

Many people have anger management problems when they drink alcohol. So what about you? Do you find it difficult to control your anger when you are under the influence of alcohol? If you have answered this question in the positive then this article may well be of benefit to you.

I am not personally involved with anger management as a career, I actually offer people help to gain lower business overheads and work with a number of cost reduction specialists.

I was only reading this morning on the BBC news website about the convictions for murder of two young men who had killed when under the influence of alcohol. They had become involved with an altercation with another man and one of the men then decided to punch him. He fell to the ground and then the second man for some unknown reason kicked him in the head. It was believed that it was his head hitting the pavement that caused him to die rather than the punch and kick of the two men but despite this they were both convicted.

Three men and their family and friends have had their lives ruined – basically due to the over consumption of alcohol. Would they have acted in such a way had they been sober? I doubt it.

The two men have gone on record to say how ashamed and sorry they are; not that this will really help in any way. Then there is the families of these two men - they too will have been badly affected by the whole ordeal.

Then, of course, there is the person who has of died, a waste of a promising life, and of course his family. I have and will continue to pray for them all. It really is a tragedy.

I for one have stopped drinking alcohol; a drink that at one staged helped me to speak fluently. I had a stutter for eighteen years of my life and alcohol enabled me to gain the confidence to talk without the fear of stuttering.

I have now managed to overcome the stutter and with the help of a DVD authoring company have produced a seventy minute DVD which describes my journey to fluency along with the techniques required to stop stuttering.

If you are a person who is unable to control their anger when drunk then please learn the lessons from above before your also ruin peoples lives.

A lot of people don’t know how to deal with bad mood. If their morning starts bad the whole day mod ruins. How can you change such situation?

Sometimes we feel like everything in a day goes wrong, we are late for deadlines, forget important things at home, and fight on words with your colleagues and so on and so forth. A lot of bad things can happen in one single day. Sometimes we lie in a bad and think about potentially bad things that can happen to us today and this means that we have just made one more unpleasant ay for yourself. Does it sound familiar? Does it look like your? If the answer is yes so I will teach you how to stop doing it and make all your days pleasant and happy.

So what would be the best for you to do in this situation?

Try to pay attention to bad situations that happen to you. Look at it as a message. For example, if you are facing a flat tire you can’t move any further. So it makes you stop, you won’t go anywhere. But try to look at this from different side.

The service man comes to change your tire and find out that you don’t have a winter tire even thought it is an end of November and the roads are pretty sleeper already. So do you understand now it could be a sign of warn to protect you from a car crash. Think about it and try to pay more attentions to such signs. And remember bad situations are not always bad, the can even save your life. And also keep always in mind that there is always a reason for everything. Don’t matter what happens you have to have find strengths in yourself to overcome all the life obstacles and move on.

Same is with if it is a bad day, don’t make it ruin all your plans and assignment. Smile and be good to others. And if something will go wrong try to turn to other people for help. Maybe you don’t know but people really like to feel useful to someone else. And a lot of people like to help others.

And remember, before you get angry, out control and really upset stop your self and ask. Isn’t there some message in it? And think carefully and try to find answers. You may be very surprised of what you can find out. The answer all there, you only have to make a choice to hide from them or open your mind and try to find courage in yourself to live thru it. I think you know the right answer.

Top ADHD Meds Guide!

ADHD meds are not miracle drugs that instantly get  rid of all ADHD symptoms. There can be side effects or the meds may not work properly. It can  take time to find the right levels and types of meds to use to bring about good  results. The following are five tips on how to best work with the doctor to get  the most from ADHD meds.

First  thing to do is to look for a Good Doctor

You need to  find a doctor who is willing to monitor the medication and your child on a  regular basis. You may need to find a doctor who specializes in treating ADHD  or other mental health disorders so you can ensure that the treatment given is  appropriate and that you find the right type of treatment or ADHD meds.

Second  thing to do is to commence with lowest does and adjust as needed.

ADHD meds  are prescribed in doses that are not based upon age or weight. A good doctor  will start out at the lowest dose possible and then adjust it up if needed. Doctors will usually allow three to seven days to elapse between  adjusting doses and run an adhd test.

The reason  for giving the lowest possible dose is that side effects get more common and  more severe with increased doses. Plus there is no need to over medicate as  this can often lead to a zombie-like state that is one of the top reasons  parents top giving their child the medication.

Third Tip: The need to use daily  medication consistently.

Some parents want to give their child the ADHD meds  only during the week and then do not give it to them on the weekend. This type  of dosing will not give accurate results.

The latest research suggests that the giving of the  medication inconsistently can cause the medication to not work as efficiently.  Since the children have to take the meds they can get problems resent going to  school.

Fourth  Tip: Include everybody is monitoring for side effects and other effects of the  meds.

Because of combined efforts of teachers, doctors  and parent, most children are diagnosed with ADHD. To medicate as a group  effort is the only thing that makes sense. Everybody should watch the effects  of medication. The participation of teachers, doctors and parents in taking  care of the child can greatly improve the chances of ensuring the right meds  are found and used.

Fifth Tip: Recognize the effects of  diet on ADHD meds.

Some meds  given for ADHD can be greatly affected by what your child eats. High fat diets  can lessen the effectiveness of medications like Adderall or Ritalin. Drinking  acidic drinks or drinks with a lot of Vitamin C can cause Ritalin to not be  absorbed into the body properly. You should  also watch on any add symptoms with other possible interactions.

So, what is  depression? An illness that affects the whole body and thoughts is called  depression. The way you eat, sleep and the way you ponder things will be  affected.

When someone is  depressed he or she cannot get away with it even with a strong will. However  most depressions can be treated even it has been plaguing for years.

Depends of the  type of depression and how long it has been allowed to progress, so symptoms  are different for each person. When someone is depressed, he or she may have  troubles with concentration or even with decision making. Many people joined depression quiz to find out their type of depressions.

Many depressed people usually have problems with short term  memory. Mostly always think negative. Some may be said to suffer from poor self  esteem and pessimism. People with a very serious depressions may even have self  destructive thoughts.

A person who is deressed often feels tired and irritable.  Some feel hopeless and helpless, and even lose their temper.  Others may  feel that work productivity suffers them greatly. I know a friend who suffers  from a great depression after divorced keep telling me how she feels hopeless  and helpless about her life. So that she doesn’t like to do anything even leave  her own office.

They do not eat properly, either overeat or do not eat enough, as well as  suffering through sleeping problems, where they either sleep erratically or not  at all, and some oversleep. Others suffer a plethora of aches and pains, while  some are simply increasingly restless.

Depression Treatments: If you feel as  if you may be depressed, the very best advice is at least go to a psychiatrist  once, it is very important for you.

Be sure to tell the psychiatrist all the symptoms you have so  that you will receive the correct diagnosis, don’t omit anything even if you  feel it may be not important at all.

Anger. One of most volatile emotions one feels. To some, it happens, but it is not an emotion that takes them over.  It is maybe a slight irritation. It is something they can get under control.

For other people, it can cause rage and an intense fury.  When that happens it gets out of control and turns destructive. This causes problems in relationships, work, and in your general quality of life.

A person who allows himself to get out of control is really controlled by this emotion and its unpredictableness.

With my experience in anger management San Diego I would like to explore a couple of ways to control this emotion.

The goal of anger management counseling is to reduce the emotional feelings the physical arousal that anger causes.

First thing you can do is relax. One relaxation technique is to breath deeply. You might also try to use images that are calming.  Another tool to use is to repeat slow calming words.

You don't have to just use these techniques for anger.Try to practice it everyday if you know that anger is an issue in your life.

Second is to change the way you think.  Simply put, when you get angry you may swear, talk loudly, and express yourself very colorfully. These really are just your inner thoughts expressed.  What you have to try to do is to replace this angry irrational thoughts with rational ones.

Instead of convincing yourself you have suffered an injustice, let yourself know it is not the end of the world.

Third, you have to communicate more effectively. When a person gets in a heated discussion or gets angry, the communications often breaks down.  Rather than think about what they are going to say, they say whatever their emotions tell them to say.

Slow down and stop to think about the best ways to comunicate.

Finally, try to change the environment you are in.  A lot of times when we are angry or frustrated, just stopping and going someplace else can change our moods completely.

This change of environment might give you just enough quiet time to calm your emotions down and get that anger under control.

Although not the final word, these bits of advice can help you start to control your anger.  If you find it does not, you will want to go get some professional help maybe with a family therapist San Diego.
